The campaign for No Spell Lasts Forever #1 is rolling on as we reach for those stretch goals!

And tonight, I'm appearing live on Explain Yourself with Kevin Joseph and Will Allred! Click here to watch the livestream  at 11 PM EST (this one is for the night owls!).

I'll be chatting about the comic, the campaign, and my creative process with Kevin and Will, who are comics veterans with some pretty awesome projects of their own.

We are FULLY FUNDED! Party time!!

Incredible news! In just three days, No Spell Lasts Forever #1 has been fully funded! Woot!! So basically, I'm at Elle Woods levels of enthusiasm right now!

I'm pretty overwhelmed by how fast the contributions have been pouring in. The show of support for the comic just means the world to me, and I want to say an ENORMOUS thank you to all of our backers!  

And to everyone who backed the campaign today, thank you for helping to put us over the top!

Ok, so you know what this means...time to reach for those stretch goals! Which are...

1. Designs for merchandise! Since this is our first issue, our funds so far have gone toward the production of the comic. This means we don't yet have designs for cool things like t-shirts, coffee cups, and other goodies.  We'll do this if we hit $1,500.

2. Paper stock upgrade. So this might not  be as flashy as the awesome merch goal, but it can make a real difference. We're planning to print the comic on standard, uncoated paper but we'd love to upgrade either to a more deluxe uncoated stock or glossy. We'll do this if we hit $2,000.

I'm genuinely moved by the support, and I can't wait to see what happens during the rest of the campaign!

Holy cow!!

This was really an amazing launch day! No Spell Lasts Forever #1 is already over 50% funded! We've got 26 backers, and we've raised $577, thanks to all of today's generous backers!

It's truly humbling to see this kind of support for my work. It genuinely means so much to me. And not just today, but all along. I could never have made it this far without your encouragement. I'm not crying, you're crying! 

The next exciting thing is that, when we get just four more backers, everyone who pledges or has already pledged $5 or more will get a digital copy of Sinners #1  by Simon Birks and Roy Huteson Stewart. So if you want that comic in your hot little hand (or in your hot little inbox, rather), share the campaign far and wide!

And just to make sure you all get the public recognition you so thoroughly deserve, here are today's backers.

Wow, what an incredible two days!

No Spell Lasts Forever #1 is already so close to being fully funded! I'm really moved by the pretty overwhelming outpour of support for the comic. It truly means so much to me. Thank you!!

Now that we're at over 40 backers, that means everyone who has pledged or will pledge $5 or more will get digital copies of both of these awesome comics:

1. Sinners #1 by Simon Birks and Roy Huteson Stewart. It follows Hope, who finds herself in a strange place and encounters a mysterious limo driver, who gives her the task of gathering sinners. Read about it here.

2.Conceptual Heist #1 by Jay D'Ici and Matt G. Gagnon.  Jemma Heiss is an art thief in the year 2090, and she's about to pull off one of the biggest and most daring thefts of her career. An action-packed opening to the first story arc sees Jemma turn her recon work turn into a rush job that almost gets her caught. Read more about it here.
